The caravan park everyone is talking about. In the tiny town of Gulargambone, between Coonamble and Gilgandra. Turn west from the Castlereagh Highway into Bourbah Street, the left into Munnell Street, just on front of the Post Office where there is a caravan park sign. Next right into Skuthorpe Street for around 70 metres to caravan park entrance. Close to Warrumbungle National Park.
38 powered sites and large unpowered area.
Amenities block has been updated, well maintained and kept very clean. Small shower cubicles, inward opening doors mean stepping back into shower recess to get out. Clean white non-static shower curtains, hooks, shelf, floor mat. Bench seat in bathroom, mirrors. Handwash and paper towels.

Seven kilometres south of
Very large grassy drive through sites
linked with bitumised driveways. Concrete annex slabs to some sites. Some sites on a slope. Power and water close
to sites. Some trees. 1979 built amenities block showing its age, kept very clean. Good water pressure and adequate hot water. Shower cubicles had no divisions or curtains so shower water runs into dressing area and no floor mats. Hand wash and paper
towels provided. Amenities may be inadequate if this large park was full. Separate baby bathroom not inspected. Prior
to 2017, there was no disability bathroom, but disability toilet at day area. Update 2017: A large disability access shower and toilet
is included in the new block. Cabins and suites with two cabins wheelchair accessible. Update 2017: Good quality
scheme water has replaced the previous bore water. Being a kilometre away from highway there was no traffic noise. We came for
one night to visit caves, and stayed a second night in this nice environment, and returned again in 2017.
Playground and swimming
pool. Adjacent to golf club. Pets permitted in camping area but not in cabins or suites .
We paid $25 for two powered. Updated July 2019 $26.00 for two powered off peak period and $36.00 in peak period.
Pros: Large open and grassy, bitumen
driveways to access these very roomy sites. Dump point, pets permitted in camping area, camp kitchen. Playground
and swimming pool. Quiet environment. A very pleasant place to stay.
Cons: Update: A new amenities block and new swimming pool has been added since 2009. Although sites close to amenities are level, sites further out are on a slight slope (see photo).
