Litchfield National Park: Wangi Falls is now OPEN as at 1st May 2015
 
Florence Falls 4WD campground is now OPEN for camping. The Lost City 4WD Track is also OPEN including the loop walk around the formation.
 
Litchfield National Park has felt the effects of rain from ex tropical cyclone Nathan has resulted in water over the road in a number of locations.  Buley Rockholes and Florence Falls are now re-opened to swimming.
 
Much of the park is still closed for the season.  Bamboo Creek Tin Mine is OPEN as at 2nd April 2015
 
The Finnis River crossing at 0.5 metres is open to high clearance 4wd only.  Access to the park via the Cox Peninsula Road is now open.  A bridge over the Finnis River is included in budgeted upgrades within Litchfield National Park

Purnululu National Park is now OPEN for the 2015 season

Park Rangers have been working hard to get the park open for the 2015 season. Walardi campground is open, online booking is not available until 1 May. Helicopter charters are available from the Purnululu airstrip.
There is still water in creeks on the drive in, caution must be taken. Roads are open to four wheel drives and single off-road towable units only.
As of 1 April 2015 no campfires will be permitted in the park.

17th April 2015 

Minor flooding expected overnight Saturday 23rd through to Wednesday 27th may 2015 in Onslow coastal streams, Port Hedland Coast and De Grey River catchments. 
 
North West Coastal Highway from Roebourne to Great Northern Highway intersection (near Port Hedland) now OPEN WITH CAUTION after closure this morning due to flooding.
 
Nanutarra - Munjina Road from Paraburdoo Spur to Auski Roadhouse - CLOSED due to flooding
 
Fortescue River Side Track at Marble Bar Rd - now OPEN WITH EXTREME CAUTION following flooding
 

Marble Bar Rd from Jigalong Turnoff to Nullagine Townsite - CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC due to flooding

 

Marble Bar Road from Marble Bar to Jigalong is now OPEN WITH CAUTION due to flooding after closure 25th May.

 

Marble Bar Road between Marble Bar and Newman is now OPEN WITH CAUTION 24th May due to flooding. 

 

Millstream Chichester National Park is partially closed until further notice due to the roads being made impassable because of heavy rainfall. The Department is using this opportunity to conduct a feral cattle control program.

 

The following areas will be closed for the control program: Millstream Homestead Visitor Centre and office complex, Miliyanha Campground, Stargazers Campground, Deep Reach Day Use area, Snappy Gum Drive and all trails and roads within the national park leading to and from these sites.

 

Python Pool sector of the national park is also closed due to the roads being impassable.

 

Banjima Drive North in Karijini National Park is closed until further notice due to rain. Banjima Drive is the internal access road linking the various gorges.

Great Central Road Western Australia and Northern Territory
The Great Central Road  (Tjukaruru Road) between Kata Tjuta and the Western Australian border is now open with CAUTION after closure 30th May due to flooding following rain in the area.
 
The Great Central Road from Laverton to the Northern Territory border is wet and slippery in places, travel with CAUTION

Following rain in the Newcastle and Hunter region, exercise caution in areas that are subject to flooding. 
 
Unsealed road remain closed or with restrictions in some areas of north western New South Wales and in the Shires of Central Darling (Wilcannia), Cobar, Bogan (Nyngan), Coonamble and Carrathool.

Road Closure Notice - Vrilya Point Cape York, Queensland

NPARC wishes to advise all visitors to the NPA region that, due to concerns raised by Traditional Owners, the road to Vrilya point will be closed this dry season 2015 due to the following –
* Safety to visitors ( the log bridge over Crystal creek)
* Hygiene – rubbish and amenities block
* Designated camping areas

Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways
Following the closure in 2011 due to instability of a wall, repairs were made in time for the 2012 tourist season, with Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways south of Winton opening early April 2012.  At the time Winton Shire Council was seeking funding for further upgrading.   
 
The good news was that the work commenced in December 2014 with plans to be open by 1st April 2015 ready for the tourist season. 
 
This time frame did not happen, and the re-opening is re-scheduled for 1st July 2015.  Stay up to date on this opening time from Lark Quarry Refurbishment.

With recent rain through the centre of Australia, unsealed roads have been closed and some selaed roads are impassable in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western New South Wales.  In Western Queensland the Birdville to Windorah road is closed.
