Many towns have coin laundries and often they are in the main street of the town.  However the luck of the draw is that as soon as you decide it is time to do the laundry, the next three towns don’t have one.  In cities and larger towns, you may find one from Yellow Pages telephone directory or just by asking at the Visitor Information Centre or at shops in the town.  In small towns without another option, caravan parks sometimes allow public access which may be limited to when the machines are not being used by caravan park guests, so it is worth asking.  However some caravan parks will not allow any access other than for their paying and staying customers.  The following lists show some of the public access laundries.  Towns not listed here may not have public laundries, or I may have been unable to find out about facilities in that town.  I save one and two dollar coins so i have a ready supply for washing machines and driers, and I take my own laundry detergent.

Western Australia

Australind (north end of Bunbury and in the Shire of Harvey) - Shopping Centre Old Coast Road, Australind

Boddington - Laundromat at the Golden Nugget Café, Bannister Road which is in the main street

Bridgetown – Closed

Bruce Rock – at Shire Caravan Park (no charge for Caravan Park guests). 

Bunbury – Parking a big rig in the vicinity of most of these laundries may not be easy.  Sandridge Village, Shop 3 Sandridge Village, Bunbury Forum, Sandridge Road, Bunbury 08 97217886; turn off Sandridge Road into the fast food area, located near the fish and chip shop at the rear of Red Rooster.  Washing Well Laundrette, 1 Ommanney Road, Bunbury 08 97217266; travel north up Victoria Street to the Carey Street roundabout, turn right into Carey Street, 50 metre on your left is Ommanney Road. Limited parking at front of laundrette, or council paid parking area opposite.  Riverside Laundrette, Austral Parade, Bunbury. Carnamah – Can use laundry at Caravan Park for $2 per load. 

Cue - Laundromat at Cue Tourist Park is available to the public between the hours of 11 am - 3 pm

Denmark – South Coast Highway

Dongara/PortDenison – Point Leander shopping complex at 242 Point Leander Drive.

Donnybrook – At Donnybrook Transit Park (contact BP servo on South West Highway)

Dunsborough - Cape Drycleaners and Laundrette, Shop 4 22 Dunn Bay Road, Dunsborough

Eaton (North of Bunbury and part of the Shire of Dardanup) – Crampton Avenue Eaton

Esperance - One in the town centre on Dempster Street near the roundabout with William Street (opposite corner from MacDonalds). Parking on the street. There is also a laundromat at the two IGA’s just outside of the town centre but parking at the latter could be a problem there.

Geraldton - City centre on the corner of Marine Terrace and Foreshore Drive. Bluff Point Shopping Centre, 437 Chapman Road, Bluff Point.

Westonia - A washing machine only (no drier but lines are available) can be used at the Westonia Caravan Park for $2 per wash (2 x $1 coins needed) if Caravan Park patrons aren’t using the machine.
