Fire Season
Fire Season is upon us in the southern parts of Australia.  After so much rain in many areas across the country, the fuel load will be high and the risks even greater.

We have already seen a number of bushfires.  Fire bans have been imposed in various regions of Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria on adverse days.

Play safe. Skip the campfires for the whole of summer when in agricultural areas, and check first if they are permitted at all during the summer months where you are visiting, as in most areas they are not. State by state Fire Safety links

Keep up to date with fire bans and fire warnings as you travel by checking the state websites, from links here.  Check Alerts for existing threats and where Total Fire Bans have been called from the links.

Read Campfire Safety and what is required before leaving your campsite.
