These pages will
feature some of the wildflowers we have photographed in Western Australia, and where possible, identified. If you
are able to help identify further flowers, or correct any I may have wrong, please contact us.
Information given for each species
will give botanical name, known common names, describe the flower, give time of year it flowered, and where it was photographed, and
the areas it occurs in. Names have been matched to Florabase which has also been used to show distribution.

Johnsonia lupulina, Hooded Lily, Rush Lily
Long reed like foliage produces these white paper like sepals on single stems.
They may be fringed with pink. The tiny semi translucent white flowers with a yellow centre are hidden under the sepals.

Bridgetown, South West, Western Australia and occurs through the South West and the lower Great Southern
Jacksonia sternbergiana, Stinkwood, Green Stinkwood, Huegel Stinkwood, Koorpa, Kapur, Mondil, Mondum, (and variations Kabbur, Kapbur,
Mondurn).
Pale yellow pea flowers with light apricot markings to orange yellow with dark orange markings and an orange keel. Winged
stems (modified foliage). Branchlets angular, slightly flattened. This weeping bush can grow to five metres height.

in November but can flower throughout the year
Dinninup, Shire of Boyup Brook, South West region, Western Australia grows from Geraldton
to Perth, through the wheatbelt and northern parts of the South West and Great Southern regions. Favours sandy soil and along rivers,
creeks and swamps.
