Sunrise at the Denmark Rivermouth never fails to
delight. The birds arrive as the light comes, then the sun rises across a glass or misty river and inlet.
Small fishing
boats are launched and set out to try their luck.
Some mornings white mist hovers low over the water while on other
days it is all clear.
The glassy waters reflect the morning sky
From pink to orange to red, the colours of dawn are memorising across the inlet where black swans, ducks, herons, pelicans and
many other sepcies await the sunrise.
Watching the colours develop with the sunrise each morning brings on a different kaleidesope of clouds and colours across Wilson Inlet.
Only
occasionally stormy weather gives a choppy surface and clouds obscure the morning colours.
The sun bursts over the horizon like a ball of gold, casting its magic across the water
Denmark Rivermouth, a perfect place to start and end the day.
