These pages will
feature some of the wildflowers we have photographed in Western Australia, and where possible, identified. If you
are able to help identify further flowers, or correct any I may have wrong, please contact us.
Information given for each species
will give botanical name, known common names, describe the flower, give time of year it flowered, and where it was photographed, and
the areas it occurs in. Names have been matched to Florabase which has also been used to show distribution.

Dicrastylis fulva
A shrub covering with white five petalled flowers, with dark tips to stamens giving a spotted effect.

Kalbarri
National Park, Mid West, Western Australia, and occurs in coastal areas from Shark Bay to Geraldton, into the wheatbelt south to Dalwallinu
and inland through Yalgoo, Mount Magnet and Sandstone.
Dillwynia laxiflora
Yellow and maroon pea flowers on a somewhat sprawling shrub, with fine narrow leaves along the stems

South West region, Western Australia and occurs through the Perth, South West and Great Southern Regions, and into the Wheatbelt
Dianella revoluta, Blueberry Lily, Pale Flax Lily, Mangard
A purple or blue lily flower with six petals which turn back and
six zigzag anthers with elongated yellow stamens. Zigzagging effect on main stem. Seed pods turn purple when mature.

Desmocladus fasciculatus
A small plant with two tone pink tendrils
Spring
Bridgetown, South West Region, Western Australia and
occurs Jurien Bay, through the Perth, South West, Great Southern and parts of the Wheatbelt regions
Dicrastylis corymbosa
A low growing domed shrub coated with tiny white five petalled star flowers with prominent brown anthers on the
tips of the stamens, all emerging from fluffy white balls

Kulin, and found in a few Wheatbelt locations, and into the adjacent
Great Southern region
